Cllr Mike Shaw
I have lived in the village for 9 years. However, I have been a resident of North East Derbyshire for 50 years, mostly resident in Dronfield. I have been a parish councillor for 5 of those years.
I am a Chairman of the Pilsley Village Fete Group and Chairman of the Hardwick 10k road race organising group.
I am retired but worked for 50 years in Criminal Justice as a Police Officer until 2000 and as Police Support Staff until 2013. However, overlapping this, I was also employed in various capacities by the Home Office/Ministry of Justice/Youth Justice Board for 30 years until 2015 working with young offenders and in youth justice.
I have particular interests in community cohesion and, in this context, how I can improve the lives of Pilsley village residents.
I have no political affiliations.
